We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Spanish Teacher for grades 5-8 to join our school community to deliver engaging and effective Spanish instruction to our students. This individual will also serve as the 6th Grade Homeroom Teacher. As a Homeroom Teacher, you will be responsible for providing guidance and support to students, taking attendance, accompanying them to mass, and accurately maintaining grades for report cards.
Responsibilities:
*Develop and implement lesson plans for Spanish classes across Grades 5-8, incorporating Catholic values and teachings
*Deliver engaging and interactive Spanish instruction, tailored to meet the diverse needs and abilities of students
*Assess student progress and provide constructive feedback on their academic and spiritual development
*Serve as a homeroom teacher for 6th grade students, fostering a faith-filled and caring environment
*Provide guidance and support to students in the morning and afternoon, promoting their spiritual and emotional development
*Take attendance and maintain accurate records of student attendance in alignment with Catholic school policies
*Accompany students to Mass, helping to cultivate their spiritual growth and participation in liturgical celebrations
*Fill grades into report cards in a timely and accurate manner, ensuring transparency and accountability
*Infuse Catholic faith and values into your teaching, fostering students' understanding and appreciation of their faith
*Create a positive and inclusive classroom environment that reflects Catholic values and promotes student learning and growth
*Collaborate with colleagues, parents, and the broader Catholic community to support students' holistic development
*Participate in staff meetings, professional development sessions, and school-wide Catholic events as required
