Job Description: We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Science and Computer Technology Teacher to join our esteemed faculty. This teacher will teach science to students in grades 5-8. St. John Bosco utilizes the renowned Project Lead The Way (PLTW) program. What is Project Lead the Way? Project Lead The Way (PLTW) is an innovative project-based learning program that incorporates science, technology, engineering, and math. PLTW empowers students to develop and apply in-demand, transportable skills by exploring real-world challenges in an exciting and engaging way. Responsibilities: *Develop and implement lesson plans for Science classes across Grades 5-8, and Technology for Grades K-8 incorporating PLTW and Catholic values and teachings *Deliver engaging and interactive Science and Technology instruction, tailored to meet the diverse needs and abilities of students *Assess student progress and provide constructive feedback on their academic and spiritual development *Infuse Catholic faith and values into your teaching, fostering students' understanding and appreciation of their faith *Create a positive and inclusive classroom environment that reflects Catholic values and promotes student learning and growth *Collaborate with colleagues, parents, and the broader Catholic community to support students' holistic development *Participate in staff meetings, professional development sessions, and school-wide Catholic events as required We offer a competitive salary package commensurate with qualifications and experience, along with comprehensive benefits.
