The Iola-Scandinavia School District is searching for a positive, knowledgeable, and student-focused High School Special Education teacher beginning in the 2023-2024 school year. The ideal candidate will have knowledge and experience working with high school students with diverse educational needs. A well-qualified candidate will hold a current cross-categorical special education license (or have the ability to obtain one). Core Responsibilities: Incorporate specially designed instruction in order to meet student's individual needs; Assessment, monitoring, and evaluation of students with disabilities; Development of individualized education plans for students with disabilities; Ability to collaborate meaningfully with a variety of stakeholders including other staff members, family, and the community; Build relationships with high school-aged students. Qualifications: Cross-special education license or ability to obtain one.
