The Green Bay Area Catholic Education (GRACE) school system is looking for a full-time Technology Services Project Coordinator/ Technician.
The Technology Services Project Coordinator is responsible for planning and coordinating all technology infrastructure projects.
This coordinator role includes working hands-on and supporting the day-to-day labor and troubleshooting that supports the organization's technology infrastructure. The Coordinator must demonstrate high-level technical knowledge of the broad range of technologies, work professionally with vendors, and develop and execute short- and long-range planning.
Essential Functions:
● Plan multi-step projects to support, maintain, and improve the technology infrastructure.
● Hands-on working with technology infrastructure.
● Day-to-day troubleshooting and maintenance, including supporting the Helpdesk.
● Ensure collaboration exists among the Technology Services team during the execution of projects.
● Work with vendors to obtain quotes, complete projects, and pay invoices.
● Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously, guiding project progress ; ensure stakeholder satisfaction while leading.
● Collaborate with the Technology Integrations side of the business to support education technology, teachers, and students.
● Provide expertise and guidance to the system in planning & development within Technology Services.
● Possess high-level technical knowledge in a broad range of technologies used in school systems.
● Support management of the technology budget and ensure cost-effectiveness.
● Serve as backup for system administration functions on Microsoft, phones, and networks.
● Evaluate and audit electronic data operations and collaborate on process improvements.
● Research and implement efficiencies in infrastructure management.
● Act in alignment with user needs and system functionality to contribute to organizational policy
● Identify problematic areas and implement strategic solutions in a timely manner
● Research, evaluate, and assist in the writing of technology grants
● Preserve assets, information security, and control structures
● Ability and willingness to work effectively with others to promote teamwork and values of GRACE.
Requirements and skills
● Ability to support our mission of promoting the Catholic faith and excellence in education; a practicing
Catholic is preferred.
● Comfort and willingness to pray and lead prayer in the workplace.
● Highest ethical and professional standards, especially with confidential information.
● Experience maintaining positive relationships with technology vendors.
● Excellent knowledge of technical management, information analysis and of computer hardware/software systems.
● Expertise in data center management and data governance
● Hands-on experience with computer networks, network administration and network installation
● Volunteer or professional experience in the K-12 environment.
Qualifications and Education Requirements
Associate’s degree or equivalent in Computer Science, MIS or similar field
Certifications and continuing education encouraged
Physical Demands
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to walk, stand, sit, and frequently
bend or twist at the neck and trunk. The employee will use the hands feel objects, tools, or controls. The
employee must occasionally exert or lift up to 50 pounds. Successful performance requires specific vision
abilities that include close vision, distance vision, and peripheral vision
