KTEC High School is a new public charter school that opened its doors to students on September 6, 2022. KTEC HS is looking for strong, forward-thinking individuals to build the foundation of the school. Students at KTEC HS will earn certifications that align with competencies identified by industry. This model prepares students for post-secondary education as was as being workforce ready. Students will be empowered to develop a strong sense of character, understand how to function collectively within society and be career and future focused. The ideal candidate would possess the following competencies: ● Ability to efficiently and effectively manage the time of self and others ● Ability to work with professionalism, discretion, sound judgment, equity, honesty and personal accountability always, ● Possesses strong written and verbal communication skills ● Exceptional administrative and organization skills ● Proficient knowledge of teaching strategies and methods ● Ability to incorporate goals, competencies and objectives into lesson plans in ways that directly apply to student’s lives ● Critical thinking skills ● Ability to manage diversity This position will be for Technical Education courses with a focus on foundational skills. Training in and incorporation of Festo’s Plastics, CNC Mill, CNC Lathe, and CAD modules, Aerodynamics, Intro to Process Engineering, Mechanical Systems, Blueprint Reading as well as NC3’s 3D Printing, Precision Measurement, Advanced Tool Identification, Multimeter, Torque, Data Analytics, and Laser Cutting certifications or training are required. Preference will be given to applicants with demonstrated knowledge of competency-based learning and curriculum development with an emphasis on STEM driven project-based learning.
