The following positions are available in the Shell Lake School District starting with the 2023 school year: Full day 4K Teacher Our 4K is now full days M-Th, with Fridays for prep. Each classroom has a paraprofessional to aide the classroom teacher. Class sizes are typically under 18 so we can pair social emotional learning, play and core academics with strong curricular resources. The candidate must be motivated, positive, growth minded, and ready to work on a team. Candidates should be ready to be part of a PLC for collaborating around curriculum, common assessments, weekly learning targets, pacing guides, and data. Candidates should be knowledgeable about common core state standards, PBIS, RTI, and technology to support both your students, your professionalism, and your communication with parents. Candidates should be comfortable with using data for the purpose of making informed decisions about students regarding behavior and academics. We use Teaching Strategies Gold to assess student growth and progress throughout the year. The mission of the Shell Lake School District is to maximize each student's potential to compete in a global society by providing appropriate educational opportunities in a challenging, nurturing and secure atmosphere, through partnerships with family and community. Our campus is a 4K-12 site that will have a brand new facility addition for grades 4K-3 starting in the fall of 2020. We are a small school with roughly 680 students. The Shell Lake Elementary School has received the Wisconsin School Of Recognition Award 8 consecutive years. The staff includes 63 teachers, 40 support staff, and three administrators. The elementary school has also been recognized by the RTI center and the DPI for RTI Reading and PBIS at the bronze and silver level. We are a 4K-6 Title One School with two interventionist, a full time elementary guidance counselor, four elementary special education teachers, and a gifted and talented program.
