The Green Bay Area Catholic Education (GRACE) school system is a 23-parish collaborative educational ministry that operates nine preschool through eighth grade schools (one of which also offers a high school) serving the greater Green Bay area. Formed in 2008, this school system serves more than 2,000 students. GRACE’s neighborhood schools are geographically distributed in the area with strong connections to the area parishes and the broader community. Aides are responsible for assisting a classroom teacher in the general supervision and management of the children. Essential Functions Assist in the implementation of the daily program under the direction of the teacher Assist in planning and preparing the learning environment, preparing needed materials and supplies Supervise classroom when teacher out of the room Help with general housekeeping of the classroom Treat all children with dignity and respect Participate in professional workshops, staff meetings and recommended trainings All other duties as assigned Qualifications and Education Requirements High school diploma or equivalent Detail orientated Strong organizational skills Strong verbal and written communication skills Strong interpersonal skills Physical Demands While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to walk, stand, sit, and frequently bend or twist at the neck and trunk. The employee will use the hands to feel objects, tools, or controls. The employee must occasionally exert or lift up to 40 pounds.
