The School District of Wild Rose is searching to fill a 1.0 FTE Grades 6-9 Special Education Instructor beginning the 2023-24 school year. The ideal candidate should possess a strong ability to work collaboratively with students, parents, teachers, and administration and hold a DPI license #1801 (Cross Categorical Special Education). The Special Education Instructor builds and sustains multi-year relationships with students as a support system so that students can become successful in both learning and their next steps in life. The qualified candidate will work collaboratively with the school's leadership team to ensure a high level of quality education and a safe learning environment. Responsibilities will include, but are not limited to the following: *Build and maintain strong, positive relationships with staff, students, and parents *Identification and evaluation of special education students *Provides instructional support and assessment for students who are enrolled in the program *Experience in providing effective instruction and educational support *Successful involvement collaborating with regular education teachers to support students with accommodations and modifications *Arrange, coordinate, and supervise special education program for grades 6-9 *Works collaboratively in a team approach and utilizes differentiated learning to meet the needs with students *Works collaboratively with teachers, administrators, parents, school and agency counselors, and related service providers in the overall educational plan for special education students *Arrange for the input of parents of students in the planning and programming for their children *Understanding of providing academic and behavioral interventions to special education students in various settings in the school environment *Knowledge of using data to support instruction & close achievement gaps *Ability to work with and manage paraprofessional support staff for students/staff Wild Rose has a 4K-12 student enrollment of about 600. We have one elementary school and one middle/high school (grades 6-12). The vacancy will start with the 2023-2024 school year. School Location/Setting The School District of Wild Rose is a small rural school district in central Wisconsin, located in Waushara County. There are currently 573 students enrolled in the School District of Wild Rose. We are 98 miles north of Madison, WI and 39 miles southeast of Stevens Point, WI. The communities of Wild Rose, Saxeville, Mt. Morris, Pine River, and West Bloomfield, along with the surrounding rural areas of these communities make up our district. The district function hosts 4K/EC through 12th grade in two buildings (Wild Rose Elementary and the Middle/High School).
