The Elcho School District is seeking a Digital Technology teacher for the 2023-2024 school year. This position will serve as a classroom instructor for technology-related courses in both middle and high school, as well as serve as the District's Technology Coordinator. Ideal candidates will possess the following TEACHING skills: - Strong content knowledge and background in Technology. - Strong verbal and written communication skills. - Desire and skills to collaborate with regular education teachers to best meet the needs of students. - Familiarity with the MLSS process. - Ability to use various assessment data to inform instruction and guide IEP goals. - Ability to utilize numerous forms of technology and district resources to enhance classroom learning. - Strong and consistent classroom and behavior management skills. - Ability to build strong relationships with students, staff, parents, and the community that fosters a positive climate in the school. - Willingness to be a part of the school beyond the classroom. Ideal candidates will also possess the following TECHNOLOGY skills: - Experience with network endpoint hardware and software acquisition, installation, configuration and maintenance. - Respond to staff queries for hardware and software support. - Work in concert with the district's contracted Systems Administrator to install, maintain and support the Elcho School District networks. Duties will include support of the district’s fleet of chromebooks, Apple and Windows devices. The position will support and maintain the Securly platform for district implementation to staff and students. The position will support, manage and maintain, with the Systems Administrator, the district’s Google Workspace Domain, directory services (AD), printer management, security software and hardware, the Meraki hardware and software stack, voice network, AV network, process documentation and inventory of system assets. The position will work with administration to manage the purchase of relevant budgeted system items and services and recommend refresh cycles. The position will support directly or indirectly all staff and student- facing approved applications, that will include proper technical preparation for State testing. The position will assist the building and grounds director to maintain the facilities and HVAC security and monitoring technology. Coaching and extra-curricular opportunities are also available. The Elcho School District is a PK-12 community school located at the start of Wisconsin's Northwoods. We are located 25 minutes north of Antigo and 25 minutes south of Rhinelander on Highway 45.
