We are looking for an innovative speech-language pathologist who is eager to be part of a collaborative professional learning community. This SLP will contribute to and be supported by a team of educators to meet the district’s mission of guaranteeing all learners are prepared for life. Qualifications: • Must hold or be in process of pursuing a DPI Speech Pathologist License • Must hold a Certificate of Clinical Compliance from the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association or be in a position to complete the Clinical Fellowship Year Essential Role Responsibilities: • Serve as a learning strategist in support of all learners and co-plan to co-serve with teams of teachers in elementary, middle and/or high school classroom settings. • Serve as a case manager for students with speech and language disabilities, including coordination of evaluations, reevaluations, and dismissals. • Develop students’ IEPs and adhere to legally mandated deadlines and district expectations for special education practices and procedures. • Monitor students’ progress (through data collection and analysis) to guide instructional decisions. Monitor and address IEP goals. • Communicate proactively and effectively with teachers, service providers, and administrators. • Collaborate with colleagues, including general education teachers, to provide a range of support to students in the general education classroom settings. • Collaborate and work with offsite providers including travel to offsite programs when necessary in order to provide services to students. • Establish effective rapport and build strong relationships with students. • Develop positive relationships and engage in open reciprocal communication with parents and families.
