The Elcho School District is seeking a High School Special Education teacher for the 2023-2024 school year. Ideal candidates will possess the following: - Familiarity with Special Education services and the IEP process. - Ability to lead IEP meetings and write appropriate IEP goals. - Strong verbal and written communication skills. - Desire and skills to collaborate with regular education teachers to best meet the needs of students. - Familiarity with the MLSS process. - Ability to use various assessment data to inform instruction and guide IEP goals. - Ability to utilize numerous forms of technology and district resources to enhance classroom learning. - Strong and consistent classroom and behavior management skills. - Ability to build strong relationships with students, staff, parents, and the community that fosters a positive climate in the school. - Willingness to be a part of the school beyond the classroom. Coaching and extra-curricular opportunities are also available. The Elcho School District is a PK-12 community school located at the start of Wisconsin's Northwoods. We are located 25 minutes north of Antigo and 25 minutes south of Rhinelander on Highway 45.
