The School District of New Lisbon seeks a full-time Early Childhood Special Education and 4-year-old Kindergarten Teacher. Candidates for this position will be licensed to serve both students with early childhood disabilities as well as regular education 4K students in an inclusive general education classroom. Candidates will be positive and proactive team-members with an understanding of individual student needs. They will be flexible, empathetic, and energetic to provide a consistent program for preschool children. Common Expectations: 1. Primary Responsibilities: 1. Participates in screenings/child-find, evaluations, meetings, and IEP development for in-district and out-of-district placements. 2. Maintains records for enrollment, projected enrollment, child counts, and all other records requested for billing and reporting. 3. Collaborates with district staff, colleagues, and parents. 4. Maintains a safe classroom as related to instructor and student behavior as well as the physical environment. 5. Creates lesson plans and provides classroom instruction. 6. Provides direct service to students as assigned. 7. Participates in professional development activities. 8. Provides in-service to districts, parents, and other partners. DPI License 1809 and 1777, or the ability to obtain both licenses. District Description: The School District of New Lisbon is an Early Childhood - Grade 12 district located all in one building, with a total population of 600 students. The District employs 100 dedicated and talented professional staff members. The district staff work in a positive and collaborative environment using the PLC model.
