SUMMARY: The primary receptionist for the Athletics office. Ability to deal effectively with faculty, students, staff, parents and public visitors.
EXAMPLES OF DUTIES include, but are not limited to:
• Keep data on eligibility of athletes, input data for each sport season, maintain and update student file using the rSchool program.
• Receive and copy contracts and rosters for sporting events.
• Contracting officials and finding event workers to staff sporting events.
• Lead in planning and organizing the Scholar Athlete Banquet including ordering awards.
• Use Infinite Campus program to align athletes, rosters and reports.
• Maintain co-curricular time sheets.
• Manage bus schedules for athletics and other modes of transportation.
• Maintain handouts and rosters information for events.
• Assist photographer for school pictures of athletes and compile seasonal sports programs.
• Process forms and provide assistance for school athletic physicals.
• Assist in keeping current membership information on clubs and activities.
• Use rSchool program to schedule after hour activities in buildings.
• For athletics and activities - verify expenses, write checks, process deposits, balance checkbooks, balance books for end-of-month reports, balance accounts and submit to each advisor.
• Provide and prepare WIAA financials and participation reports.
• Other duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS:
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required at the time of hire or for the continuation of employment.
EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE:
• High school or equivalent education.
• Successful experience in similar positions.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:
• Knowledge of business English, spelling, and arithmetic.
• Knowledge of modern office practices and equipment.
• Knowledge of Microsoft Office programs and Google.
• Ability to deal tactfully and effectively with faculty, students, staff, parents and public visitors.
• Ability to understand and follow oral and written instructions.
• Ability to learn assigned tasks and computer programs quickly.
• Ability to operate computer and other office equipment.
• Ability to type accurately and rapidly and to compose effective and accurate correspondence on a computer using word processing.
LANGUAGE SKILLS:
• Ability to read, analyze, and interpret documents, federal, state, and/or DPI regulations, handbooks, computer and other manuals, budget reports and statistical data.
• Ability to write reports, business correspondence and procedure manuals.
• Ability to interpret and communicate reports, procedures, and computer applications to faculty, staff, and students.
• Ability to communicate effectively in both oral and written form.
MATHEMATICAL SKILLS:
• Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
• Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations.
• Ability to statistically manipulate numbers; make advanced mathematical calculations; check for accuracy.
REASONING ABILITY:
• Ability to define problems, collects data, and draw valid conclusions.
• Ability to exercise good judgment and effectively solve problems.
• Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions with several abstract and concrete variables.
