ACTIVITIES & SAFETY ATTENDANT - DISTRICT WIDE HOURS 40 hours/week (mostly first shift, Monday through Friday with some weekend work) WORK PERIOD Year Round SALARY Up to $16.13/hour (mid-range), based on experience (Category II) BEGINNING DATE on or about February 7, 2023 The Mequon-Thiensville School District is seeking a service oriented individual to apply for the open position of Activities & Safety Attendant. Under the direction of the Director of Buildings and Grounds, this individual will provide daily support to schools along with weekend support for activities and events at MTSD facilities. This position often focuses on event set-up and communication with community members participating in and attending athletic contests and events. This individual will monitor school buildings, grounds to deter, and report violations of the law and/or school board policy. Position description and qualifications are listed below. The Mequon-Thiensville School District is a PK-12 district located along the coast of Lake Michigan in a northern suburb of Milwaukee that serves more than 3,500 students. POSITION DESCRIPTION ACTIVITIES & SAFETY ATTENDANT Qualifications: 1. High school diploma 2. Valid Wisconsin driver's license 3. Dependable and conscientious with a strong work ethic 4. Ability to interact positively with all stakeholders 5. Ability to lift 80# 6. Flexible and able to alter work schedule for special events 7. First Aid/CPR Certified Reports to: Director of Buildings and Grounds Performance Responsibilities: ● Support school and rental agency activities and functions throughout the district including, but not limited, to: o Set-up o Onsite support o Cleaning as necessary o Take-down and storage ● Sustain communication with the school district, recreation department, and their activity and rental agency staff ● Maintain high visibility throughout the district buildings and grounds, especially during events ● Assist with the distribution of supplies throughout the district ● Monitor school buildings, grounds, and parking lots to deter, detect, and report violations of the law and/or school board policies ● Scan for and report unauthorized or suspicious persons, vehicles, and/or activities ● Perform special projects as directed by the Director of Buildings and Grounds ● Fill in for absences of other buildings and grounds department employees ● Performs other duties as assigned Terms of Employment: ● Twelve-month work calendar, includes weekends ● Work Schedule/s: o First Shift: approximately 7:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. Evaluation: ● Performance of this job will be evaluated in accordance with provisions of the Board of Education policy on employee evaluation
