Join our CESA 7 team as our next Director of Learning Services!
A trusted educational leader for over half a century, CESA 7 supports school districts in preparing students to be college, career, and life ready by providing high quality and innovative services delivered by recognized experts. People are the core of everything we do. We are a community of educators striving toward the same goal of preparing students to be next level ready with talented people, innovative solutions, and a passion for our work.
We are a growing organization and have restructured to support our growth. Our current Learning Services Director is transitioning into an Executive Director role, creating the opportunity to add to our team as we hire for the Director of Learning Services Position.
As the Director of Learning Services, you will lead a growing team of talented consultants in providing excellent service in strategic planning, professional development, and coaching to our schools and districts. You will build relationships and cultivate trust as you train and support teachers, paraprofessionals, administrators and school board members. You will envision and design services that will equip our schools and districts to grow their organizational and individual capacity, and you will design and implement a funding model to support the continuous improvement of our services.
The ideal candidate will be someone who can check the following boxes.
1. Build relationships and systems: You will have to be effective with people and efficient with work processes. You think first about our customers' needs and interests and then design the framework for their success.
2. Connect and lead conversations proactively: To serve our clients well, you must be able to engage and inspire. In talking about a service, a system, or a strategy, you must be able to create excitement within a school about what they can accomplish when they leverage their unique strengths. Your objective is to make our clients’ lives easier and their work more fulfilling.
3. Be an expert on our services: You must be naturally curious or have learned the skill of being curious so that you can understand every action, feature, and possible use of our services.
4. Be passionate and relentless: Educators have some of the most stressful and demanding jobs in the world. They are responsible for the safety, well-being, and education of every student served. It’s a great honor to play a small part in helping them carry out their mission. That requires you to be passionate about helping them and to be relentless in the pursuit of their success.
5. Learn how we think and be coachable: Our aim (and your aim) must be to take a CESA 7 approach to every interaction and look for ways to enhance our clients’ experience with us.
6. Have an aptitude for challenge & a track record of success as demonstrated in the following ways:

* You have completed an advanced degree in education and have served at least three years in an educational leadership role.
* You have managed your own and your team’s workflow and schedule
