Position Summary: This position has the primary responsibility of supporting the district’s strategy map to generate talent sources and assist in retaining valuable employees focusing on the district’s goals to improve employee retention and staff diversification to match our student demographics. This position partners closely with hiring supervisors and administration. Additionally, this position has responsibility for personnel specialist functions within the Employee Services Department including but not limited to; wage/salary placement, employee handbook; and certification/licensure. Qualifications: 1. Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources, Education, or a related field is required. Master’s Degree including coursework in education or human resources is preferred. (Administrative license preferred.) 2. Experience: At least two years of experience as a leader in education, human resources, or related. Strong knowledge of education, recruiting, human resources, database systems experience, and Microsoft Office and Google Professional Suites. 3. Bilingual Skills-Spanish/English Preferred. Position Duties: Essential Job Functions: 1. Leads innovative talent recruitment, generates new talent sources, and researches job posting platforms and other recruitment opportunities, partnering with community organizations, and other network organizations focusing on marketing why MCPASD is a great place to work. This position will serve as the point of contact for job fairs and may serve as the captain of recruitment teams. 2. Leads the posting of job vacancies. This includes keeping job descriptions, postings, and recruitment language and marketing (including social media) current and visible to the community and potential candidates. This includes partnering with hiring supervisors and administrators in aligning postings and job descriptions. Leads and revitalizes our hiring process from posting to interviews, ensuring that our recruitment practices are efficient, culturally inclusive, attractive, innovative, and welcoming to candidates. 3. Monitors employee recruitment data ensuring that where we post, and how we recruit and hire staff is innovative, effective, and efficient. 4. Review applicant pools and the interview process. This position may work directly to recruit candidates who have applied with MCPASD for other potential roles within the district. 5. Ensures that staff are appropriately licensed with DPI and serves as a critical resource for staff in obtaining and maintaining their educator license. 6. Manages employee retention data by surveying current employees and gathering their feedback on improving district work environments. Retention data also includes managing employee exit survey data, focusing on trends, and communicating ways that the district can improve to retain valuable employees. 7. Assists in the development and oversight of a performance evaluation system that supports the attraction and retention of employees. This includes consultation with supervisors on support staff professional development. 8. Participates in the Leadership Employee Attraction and Retention Workgroup, which is made up of administrators focused to improve employee recruitment and retention. 9. Celebrates staff, their unique gifts, and identities and honors the work and value they provide the district. 10. Other duties as assigned by the Director of Employee Services.
