OUR FUTURE: PREPARE. LEARN. LEAD. Come work at Mount Horeb Area School District! We are currently seeking to hire a highly dedicated Paraprofessional at our Intermediate Center (21 hrs/wk). What Your Day Will Look Like:
The majority of your day will include general supervision of 5th grade students in the classroom and in support of the Reading Interventionist. Other duties may include lunchroom supervision, recess supervision, and may include crossing guard duty. Throughout the day, you will collaborate with the paraprofessional and teacher teams as well as implement positive behavioral strategies when working with students. You may also perform clerical and teacher or administrator assigned tasks as needed to provide classroom support and other duties as assigned. You will also work closely with a counter paraprofessional who will work Monday and Tuesday opposite of your Wednesday, Thursday, Friday (8-3:30pm) schedule.

You will receive training on our instructional platforms (both online and in person), and have the ability to shadow our amazing general education paraprofessionals so that you have the confidence you need to be your best self, empowering you to focus on student learning.
To compensate you for the wonderful work you will be performing and support you will be providing, you will receive $14.60 per hour beginning on your first day, including during the training period. Additionally, you are eligible to receive benefits including an annual stipend, disability insurance, paid time off, paid holidays and retirement.
