Job Description: The School District of Baraboo is seeking applicants for an Assistant Aquatics Director. This is a part-time position, with up to 20 hours per week. Hours are variable and may include mornings, daytime, evening and weekend hours. The primary responsibility of the Assistant Aquatics Director is to serve in place of the Aquatics Director in the event the Director is absent. The Assistant will also help develop and promote the aquatic programs for the District and community, supervise the swimming pool operation and staff, perform duties of a WSI and Lifeguard on a regular basis and perform other related duties. Compensation will be a minimum of $20.00 per hour, depending on qualifications and experience. 

Qualifications: This position requires a current Red Cross WSI, lifeguard training, CPR for the professional Rescuer, and First Aid Certification. LGI, WSIT and teaching certifications are desirable. A qualified candidate will also have at least three years of related experience that demonstrates knowledge of, or the ability to perform swimming pool activities and programs, teaching swimming lessons to all ages, teaching water exercise, pool management, lifeguard, recreational programming and pool maintenance. Exceptional customer service and communication skills needed, as well as strong organizational and administrative skills. A well-qualified candidate will have the ability to be goal oriented, skilled in time management and have the ability to be self-directed; organization skills and the ability to plan programs and develop schedules; and the ability to execute the duties and responsibilities of this position in a manner consistent with the philosophy, goals and policies of the BSD of Baraboo.
