Full Time
The Wausau School District is seeking a Building Paraprofessional at John Muir Middle School to assist teachers and office personnel with preparations for the daily task of teaching students, and generally assist staff in the smooth operation of the school to support our District's mission to advance student learning, achievement, and success.
This is a full-time position and qualifies for health insurance, dental insurance, life insurance, short term and long term disability, paid sick leave, personal leave, and retirement through the Wisconsin Retirement System.

Education/Certification
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- CPR and first aid certification desired
Performance Requirements
- Requires individual who has the ability to work effectively as a member of a team and take direction from others
- Strong, positive interpersonal skills required to work collaboratively with students, parents, teachers, administration and staff
- Ability to work with elementary-age students in small group or individual settings
- Strong communication skills
- Well-developed computer skills--proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, data entry, and e-mail. Experience with Infinite Campus software desired.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality
- Ability to be flexible and adapt to quickly changing situations
- Strong organizational skills and ability to prioritize and problem solve
- Ability to work with students in a variety of settings indoors and outdoors (classroom, recess and lunch duty).
