The role of the teacher at Shared Journey’s Charter School will create daily schedules and instructional plans for each student, coordinate services for students with WAWM Health Department and Aurora Hospital, teach the needed coursework while students are at Shared Journeys, and ensure students have all the needed supports as they navigate school and parenthood. Duties include, developing curriculum, monitoring staff, working with families, and supporting students In addition, this position receives a supplemental contract to keep lines of communication open with students outside of school hours via text or phone. Qualifications: * An At-Risk Teaching license * Willingness to be certified in ChildCare * Strong organizational Skills * Flexibility * A positive demeanor and collaboration skills * Willingness to learn * Knowledge of curriculum development Specific Duties * Schedule students for instruction * Meet with families upon enrollment to set a schedule * Supervise the daily schedule * Work with the Director of Leadership and Learning on plans for the school * Teach the coursework needed for enrolled students * Coordinate the services for prenatal classes and services with the hospital and the WAWM Health Department * Maintain social media and school website * Modify curriculum * Assign coursework in Edgenuity * Oversee completion of coursework in Edgenuity * Refer students for GED02 as needed Other duties as assigned by the Director of Leadership and Learning Tentative Schedule: Monday through Friday (on student days) 7:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. The West Allis-West Milwaukee School District does not discriminate on the basis of age, race, color, gender, religion, gender identity, sexual orientation, or national or ethnic origin in administration of its educational policies, hiring and employment practices, admission policies, scholarship and grant programs, or athletic and other school administered programs.
