Merrill Area Public Schools (MAPS) has an opening for a full time position with duties split between special eduction (cross categorical preferred in grades covering 6-12) and reg education teacher (6, 7 English) in Bridges Virtual Academy for the 2022-23 school year. Bridges Virtual Academy is a progressive, online education program serving students across the state of Wisconsin serving over 700 students throughout the State of Wisconsin Virtual instruction involves the use of a wide range of technology and technology platforms. The ideal candidate will have experience with multiple synchronous and asynchronous platforms of instruction and communication. The ideal license for this candidate would be K-12 Cross Categorical Special education with Elementary and Middle, or Middle and High School English. MAPS utilizes the CESA 6/Stronge Model for Educator Effectiveness. Start Date - Immediately Merrill is located 15 minutes north of Wausau in Central Wisconsin. The communities that Merrill serves are located on some of the most scenic parts of the Wisconsin River. One can easily access numerous outdoor activities and the convenience of North Central Wisconsin’s major retail and cultural center. In addition, there are a number of extra curricular and coaching positions available to candidates to help develop the whole student.
