Part Time
Make a difference in the lives of students! Share your time and talents! Work with great colleagues! Green Bay Area Public School District substitute teachers implement the prepared lesson plan to ensure all students receive quality instruction in the absence of their teacher. This position helps students reach proficiency as specified in the District’s written curriculum.

We offer $175 per full day in short term substitute positions or $200 per full day in long term substitute positions. Qualifications Required:
Education: Associate degree or higher from an accredited college or university
Training: Successful completion of a Wisconsin Department of Public Instruction endorsed Substitute Teacher Training Program
Certification: Wisconsin DPI Substitute Teacher, Provisional or Lifetime Educator license
Essential Functions:

2. Promotes efforts on diversity, establishes best practices and utilizes skills to remove barriers for students of diverse backgrounds.
3. Creates a favorable professional impression on students, parents, community, and other employees.
4. Maintains confidentiality in verbal, written, and electronic communication.
5. Refers confidential information to the appropriate person.
6. Follows safe practices and adheres to safety standards.
7. Knows and implements the following Danielson Framework for Teaching four educator domain standards:
A. Domain 1 – Planning and preparation
● Demonstrates knowledge of characteristics of child/adolescent development.
● Demonstrates knowledge of the learning process.
● Demonstrates knowledge of students’ interests, culture, heritage, and language.
● Demonstrates knowledge of students’ special needs.
B. Domain 2 – The Learning Environment
● Creates an environment of respect and rapport.
● Establishes a culture for learning.
● Manages classroom procedures and groups.
● Manages transitions.
● Manages materials and supplies.
● Manages student behavior.
● Organizes physical space.
C. Domain 3 – Instruction
● Communicates expectations for learning.
● Communicates directions and procedures.
● Uses questioning and discussion techniques.
● Engages students in learning.
D. Domain 4 – Professional Responsibilities
● Demonstrates professionalism, integrity and professional conduct.
● Demonstrates receptivity to colleague feedback.
● Demonstrates service to the profession. .
9. Follows the absent teacher’s written lesson plans and uses materials provided to attain lesson goals.
10. Takes attendance according to the procedures of the school.
12. Ensures students and self assume responsibility for safe, appropriate use and return of classroom materials and supplies.
13. Complies with all procedures, guidelines and policies of the schools at all times.
14. Makes the teacher aware of special situations or problems encountered.
15. Performs all other duties as assigned by Supervisor.
