Wheatland J1 School District is in search of a positive, innovative individual to join our team as a middle school special education long-term substitute teacher. Candidate skills include strong relationship building and contributing to a positive school community. This candidate should value collaboration, demonstrate flexibility, and have a strong problem-solving mindset as well as provide special education students with learning activities and experiences designed to help them fulfill their potential. The Long-Term Sub will create a safe and welcoming environment that nurtures creativity and innovation. The successful candidate will be able to instruct students with varying disabilities in all academic subjects, using a variety of techniques in multiple areas as well as utilize and understand technology in the classroom. Strong classroom management, organizational skills and math background is ideal. This position will be for the duration of December to March.. The district covers over 30 square miles and incorporates 4 municipalities.
