STUDENT SUPERVISOR - Homestead High School HOURS 35 hours/week (10:00 AM - 5:30 PM) WORK PERIOD School Year SALARY $14.06/hour (start)-$19.53/hour (mid-range), based on experience (Category III) BEGINNING DATE to be determined This individual will work in the high school environment with students on a daily basis. Candidates will assist administrators and staff to provide a safe environment for students and perform other duties as identified in the position description. The Mequon-Thiensville School District is a PK-12 district located along the coast of Lake Michigan in a northern suburb of Milwaukee that serves more than 3,500 students. POSITION DESCRIPTION STUDENT SUPERVISOR Qualifications: 1. High School Diploma 2. Values the positive engagement of each student in our school community 3. Patient, caring, and assets-based attitude toward students, colleagues, and families 4. Dependable and conscientious with a strong work ethic Reports to: High School Principal or his/her designee Performance Responsibilities: • Model and encourage school-appropriate behavior among students • Cultivate relationships with students to support their success in our school community • Support the development and improvement of positive relationships with and among students • Identify opportunities to prevent student conflict and assist in resolution when conflict arises • Facilitate students’ engagement in practices to develop and improve positive relationships • Assist with developing and implementing restorative relationship practices within the school community • Consult with school leadership and response teams on the development and implementation of systems and structures for Restorative Practices • Engage in problem-solving to improve difficult situations and seek strategies for conflict mediation • Redirect student behavior as necessary • Report student misconduct to administrators • Assist office staff and school administrators as requested • Monitor student, parent, and bus traffic following school dismissal • Participate in professional learning and training activities as directed • Supervise in-school suspension as necessary • Provide primary building supervision during non-school hours • Wear safety apparel when directed Terms of Employment: • School Year Work Schedule • Subject to terms of the Mequon-Thiensville School District Employee Handbook Evaluation: • Performance of this job will be evaluated in accordance with provisions of the Board’s policy on evaluation of employees
