SITE SUPERVISOR – KIDS’ CAMPUS DONGES BAY/ORIOLE LANE/WILSON ELEMENTARY SCHOOLS APPLICATION DEADLINE: open until filled HOURS: Monday thru Friday, 20-29 hours/week (School days – 6:15 am-9:15 am & 3:30 pm-6:15 pm) (Mandatory) (Non-school days – 6:45 am-6:00 pm-broken in shifts)(Not mandatory) WORK PERIOD: School Year SALARY: $15.00/hr. (Category III) BEGINNING DATE: as soon as possible Supervision and instruction of the children involved in the Kids’ Campus Program. Supervisors are responsible for the daily operations of the site. They will assist with the planning and implementation of monthly theme orientated schedules, field trips, educational components, community service projections, arts-n-crafts, children’s games, active games, and the overall promotion of the programs as guided by the Recreation Supervisor. Candidates must be prepared to perform other duties as identified in the position description below. POSITION DESCRIPTION SITE SUPERVISOR – KIDS’ CAMPUS Qualifications: 1. At least 18 years of age with an educational background 2. At least one year of experience working with children in a formal setting 3. Knowledge and experience in supervision of children 4. Experience in leading arts-n-crafts, active games, and cooperative games 5. Experience in teaching children in an educational or recreational setting 6. Ability to work mandatory before and after school hours set during the week (6:15 am-9:15 am and 3:30 pm-6:15 pm) Reports to: Recreation Supervisor - Youth Programs Performance Responsibilities: • Provides constant supervision and leadership for the program participants • Assists the Recreation Supervisor - Youth Programs in developing the schedule of activities • Maintain leadership and control through example; be polite, helpful, respectful-follow site rules • Develop and maintain a friendly working relationship with school district personnel • Supervise and guide leaders and any teen or group volunteers in their duties/responsibilities • Assist in the development of the monthly newsletter • Instructs and leads the participants in the following activities; arts-n-crafts, storytelling, cooperative games, educational components, community service projects, etc • Works with the Recreation Department office to keep the parents and children informed of any scheduled changes • Be familiar with the current M-T Recreation Manual, including current Kids’ Campus policies and registration procedures • Records daily attendance and tracks that participants are pre-paid, otherwise notifying the Recreation Supervisor - Youth Programs so participants can be billed • Handles the questions and complaints of parents in the most tactful manner possible • Meets with the Recreation Supervisor - Youth Programs for staff meetings and performance evaluations • Performs such other duties as may be assigned Terms of Employment: • ten month year • Subject to terms of the Mequon-Thiensville School District Employee Handbook Evaluation: • Performance of this job will be evaluated in accordance with provisions of the Board’s policy on Evaluation of Educational Support Personnel
