The Wauwatosa School District seeks a Full Time Principal for our Montessori School Position Title: Principal Department/Location: Wauwatosa Montessori School Job Classification: Administrator (Exempt) Reports to: Chief Academic Officer Supervises: Teachers, Admin. Asst. I, Classroom Educational Asst., Clerical Educational Asst., Special Educational Asst., Interventionist, School Counselor Position Summary: The Principal assumes leadership responsibility for the total educational program within the school with an emphasis on effective instruction and management of facilities. Qualifications: Wisconsin Department of Public Instruction licenses as principal Montessori Certification (Preferred or willing to obtain. WSD will provide financial assistance to the successful candidate who seeks Montessori Certification while employed.) Five years of teaching or administrative experience Administrative leadership skills Expertise in presenting to small and large audiences Ability to communicate effectively with and maintain positive relationships with staff, students, and the public Strong organizational skills Ability to work productively both as a member of a team and independently Strong attention to detail
