Part Time
Primary Function: The Student Intervention Paraprofessional will work to support student learning and reduce the achievement gap by delivering reading and/or math interventions to fidelity. The Paraprofessional may also be tasked with screening and progress monitoring student academic growth. This position will be paid for out of the American Rescue Plan (ARP) funds. Other Requirements: Provide a safe and secure learning environment Ability to deliver intervention programming Strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills Strong ability to work effectively with staff Participates in training as required Essential Duties and Responsibilities: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Provides one on one or small group interventions with students at risk of difficulty in math and/or reading. Facilitate screening, progress monitoring, and assist with all other state and local assessments as needed. Prepares programming materials for intervention groups Communicates with classroom teachers, intervention teacher, and eMLSS Coordinator as needed. Other duties as assigned by building and district administration Work Environment Normal school environment and moderate noise levels Physical Requirements Must be able to sit and work at desk/computer for extended periods of time Must be able to have repetitive wrist/hand/finger movement to work on computer and/or related office equipment Must be able to talk, hear, grasp, and reach
Preferred Education and/or Experience: High School Diploma or equivalent and/or experience working in the school setting.
