Position Purpose: Assists in the implementation of district technology directives by participating in the planning, design, and coding of secure software solutions for use by district students, colleagues and other customers. Essential Functions: 1. Guides small project teams in areas such as designing, debugging, tuning, and implementing queries, triggers and stored procedures that are stored in the DBMS while advocating for best practices, good design, and high performance. 8. Participates and contributes to a team approach to software/report development and problem solving within an Agile/Scrum framework including planning, design, coding, peer review, testing, and deployment. 9. Collaborates as part of a development team as well as other departmental and organizational teams. 10. Maintains relationships with software vendors to facilitate data integrations between systems. 11. Maintains knowledge of technological developments and disseminates information to other team members. 12. Executes QA and production deployments of projects. 13. Maintains test environments, database and SSRS security, and source code control. 14. Evaluates requests for enhancements and modifications, explores possible alternatives, and makes recommendations for assigned projects. 15. Uses basic reasoning skills and organizational knowledge to assist users in articulating quality requirements. 16. Develops quality and timely code based on user requirements. 17. Develops scalable, secure, and compliant software solutions/applications based on user requirements. 18. Develops ETL solutions using SQL Server and SSIS for use with internal and third-party systems. 19. Develops technical and end user documentation for assigned projects. 20. Brainstorms and provides viable solutions to problems in a timely manner. 21. Coordinates and balances multiple project assignments concurrently. 22. Provides advanced level technical support to the Help Desk. 23. Performs all other duties as assigned by Supervisor.
Education: Associate's Degree Experience: Two (2) Years successful related experience Desired: - Bachelor's in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Management Information Systems, or a related majore - CETL Certification - Five (5) years successful related experience - Experience using SQL, SSIS, RESTful web services, JavaScript/jQuery, VB.NET, or C#.NET, MVC, HTML, and/or SSRS
