The Prescott School District is seeking a .8 FTE Occupational Therapist to work within our district PK-age 21. The Occupational Therapist is a member of the student services department overseen by Ms. Sandy Strand. This department includes 4 School Counselors, 2 School Psychologists, and a District Nurse. The Occupational Therapist works collaboratively with staff and provides direct and indirect services to students in both general and special education.

Qualifications: Preferred candidates will have training and experience in the field of Occupational Therapy, including appropriate Wisconsin Department of Safety and Professional Services Licensure. Additionally, familiarity with the special education evaluation/IEP process, the ability to communicate and collaborate with staff, and school-based experience is strongly preferred. Candidates should also have excellent written and verbal communication skills.

POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES:
Provide direct and indirect support, services, and interventions for students experiencing challenges related to fine motor, sensory, or vocational skills.
Develop and implement educationally focused treatment plans in conjunction with the COTA.
Plan, organize, and participate in the pre-referral intervention process, initial evaluations, three-year reevaluations, and Section 504 evaluations with other staff.
Collaborate, partner, consult, and communicate with general and special education teachers, fellow student services staff, administration, and parents.
Offer training and support to staff on the implementation of Universal Design for Learning concepts, support the use of assistive technology, and provide positive behavioral supports and interventions.
Provide direction and supervision of and establish a sense of collaboration and team work with the Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant
