Jefferson High School is looking for a Head Softball Coach. Applicants should have strong interpersonal skills, previous experience with the sport, coaching experience, fundraising experience, organizational skills, and strong desire to work with other coaches within the athletic department. The head softball coach has overall responsibility for the organization, coordination, management and coaching of the entire high school program including all facets of the varsity softball team, as well as, the Jefferson Eagles youth softball program. Essential Duties and Responsibilities: • Support all participants as students and athletes. • Instruct players and assistant coaches in the rules, regulations, equipment, and techniques of the sport. • Organize and lead daily practices. • Determine strategies for games at all levels. • Supervise athletes during practices and games and ensure their safety. • Oversee all levels of softball from 8u through varsity program. • Develop skills through camps, contact days and weight training. • Follow all rules, policies, and procedures of the WIAA and the School District of Jefferson.
