Norris Academy is seeking an innovative educational practitioner with a growth mindset who is eager to become a member of a dynamic team to support learning in our learner centered alternative education program. We are seeking a candidate with a cross categorical certification to work with our K-8 team, but a learner-centered, trauma invested mindset it a must! The Learner Support Specialist provides specially designed approaches to learning to ensure that learning is accessible to all learners. He/she considers each learner’s profile, plan and pathway to hold individual and small group conferences that are centered on learner needs and interests. The Learner Support Specialist ensures each learner’s plan and pathways are in alignment with the IEP, supports are provided and guides the learning team approach to achieve those goals.
