Nicolet High School is looking for a committed educator to serve as the Student Support Coordinator in a diverse high school setting. We are seeking a strong, compassionate leader who is able to collaborate with colleagues to implement student-centered services and provide integrated academic support based on student needs. The selected candidate will take a lead role on the team working to integrate student supports school-wide. Under the general supervision of the designated Associate Principal, this educator leads and works collaboratively with teachers to provide academic and behavioral interventions that reduce barriers and increase access necessary for academic success. This educator will be responsible for managing the Student Supports spaces and programming to ensure students are interacting in a constructive and productive manner. Ideal candidates will have experience leading/working with teams and using data to meet student needs. Candidates must possess the ability to implement instructional strategies in a variety of disciplines, as well as provide structure and resources to improve behaviors that interfere with academic success. Knowledge of instructional technology (i.e. Chromebooks, SmartBoards, graphing calculators, document cameras) is required. Applicants must demonstrate the ability to be flexible, creative, and increase achievement of all students. JOB DESCRIPTION: Manage dynamic academic support services focused on Wisconsin’s Framework for Equitable Multi-Level Systems of Support that meet the needs of all students and are aligned to district goals. Implement and lead after school program to include: Writing Center, academic support, and Academic Career Planning (ACP) support Support Services- Collaborate with a staff team to support Tier 2 academic supports Coordinate staff to address needs based on data and MLSS indicators Collaborate with a team to support student academic progress, implement Tier 2 interventions, and monitor credit recovery Confer with parents/guardians regarding student programming and progress. Serve as team leader for interventionist staff, including working with the interventionists to collect, maintain, and analyze student data to identify students in need of intensive intervention and monitor their growth. Facilitate regular meetings with the Student Supports Team Collaborate with teachers who serve special education students to provide equitable support services to students Coordinate data collection, entry, and reporting process relative to the following intervention: reading, writing, executive functioning, and academic behavior interventions Maintain master schedule of interventionists’ work and caseload Serve on the school SST Team, working to provide solutions-based ideas to support students who meet early warning indicators Serve as liaison between Student Supports Team and department PLCs Work with district Teaching and Learning coaches to develop school wide improvement plans based on aggregated achievement and behavior data Participate on the Transitions Team, 9th Grade Orientation, and contribute to content developed for grade level advisories. LICENSE: Valid Wisconsin license is required in an area such as English, math, science, social studies, alternative education, special education, reading/literacy, library media specialist, or school counselor (multiple not required).
