The Wauwatosa School District seeks a full-time Principal for Eisenhower Elementary School. Position Title: Principal Department/Location: Eisenhower Elementary School Job Classification: Administrator (Exempt) Reports to: Chief Academic Officer Supervises: Teachers, Admin. Asst. I, Classroom Educational Asst., Clerical Educational Asst., Special Educational Asst., Interventionist, School Counselor Position Summary: The Principal assumes leadership responsibility for the total educational program within the school with an emphasis on effective instruction and management of facilities. Our ideal candidate must have: - Experience teaching and leading in an urban or diverse setting - Ability to lead the collaborative development and sustainment of a shared vision for educational equity and improvement - Ability to build strong trusting relationships that value all cultures and are inclusive - Ability to lead with urgency to reach and uphold the District's mission and vision for all students. Qualifications: Wisconsin Department of Public Instruction licenses as principal Five years of teaching or administrative experience Administrative leadership skills Expertise in presenting to small and large audiences Ability to communicate effectively with and maintain positive relationships with staff, students, and the public Strong organizational skills Ability to work productively both as a member of a team and independently Strong attention to detail
