The Waterford Graded School District is seeking a part time Admin Assistant for the Director of Curriculum and Student Growth. The position is a .5 position working 200 days (10 month). Actual start date and hours will be determined by the Director. Primary Function: The Administrative Assistant works directly with the Director of Curriculum & Student Growth to provide a high level of administrative support and confidentiality in district and department activities. The employee must operate with a considerable degree of independent judgment and initiative as well as confidentiality. Essential duties are in the area of administrative duties, District and State Testing Support, Data Management.
• Qualifications: • Be a U.S. citizen or alien with employment eligibility • Demonstrate evidence of being able to work cooperatively with others in an office setting Education and Experience: ● High school graduate or equivalent. ● Experience in office records, communications, and using computer software such as Google Docs, Google Slides and web-based applications. General Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: ● Ability and desire to provide outstanding customer service. ● Ability to interact with the staff, co-workers, and the public in a friendly, service-oriented manner. ● Must be a team player and get along well with others. ● Must be detail oriented and self motivated. ● Must demonstrate flexibility, common sense and good judgment. ● Must be willing to take part in a continuous improvement process. ● Ability to read and interpret a variety of instructions and the ability to communicate instructions to various stakeholders such as staff, parents and community members. ● Ability to complete basic mathematical processes for budgets. ● Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. ● Ability to present information in one-on-one or small group settings. ● Strong Microsoft Office/Google Apps knowledge and ability to use spreadsheets to provide reporting in various forms. ● Ability to efficiently use a student management system to pull data for various tasks. ● Ability to function independently, adapt to change, and make sound judgment calls. ● High level of organizational proficiency and ability to multitask successfully. ● Ability to interpret and communicate departmental and district policies, rules, and regulations. ● Maintains a high degree of confidentiality on sensitive issues. ● Performs other incidental and related duties as required and assigned. Physical Demands: ● Must be able to occasionally lift and/or move boxes up to 30 pounds. ● Climbing: ascending or descending ladders, stairs, scaffolding ramps. ● Finger-use: picking, pinching in handling curriculum materials such as PLTW materials. ● Raising objects from a lower to a higher position or moving objects horizontally from position to position
