Lourdes Academy of Oshkosh Catholic School seeks a full time elementary school (grades 4K through 4th grade) General Music teacher beginning with the 2022-2023 school year. The school is committed to providing a traditional education in a faith filled environment. Our goal is to make sure our students feel safe, valued and loved while educating them in mind, body and spirit. The incumbent in this position will partner with parents, teachers and administration to foster and promote student learning and moral development through the Green Bay Catholic Diocese curriculum. The ideal Music teacher is a highly-qualified educator. This candidate will have strong leadership skills, is an excellent communicator and can motivate and inspire students in a positive manner. An intrinsic passion for music and love for children is imperative as well as a comprehensive background and knowledge of music theory, techniques and skills. Material presented within performances reflects the warm Catholic teaching tradition the students experience throughout their school day. Applicant must: ● Hold a minimum of a bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university ● Wisconsin DPI licensure and experience at the age appropriate grade levels identified for General Music, an addition Instrumental Instruction licensure is beneficial ● Must meet or willingness to work toward catechetical certification as required by the Diocese of Green Bay ● Be able to support, affirm, and uphold, by word or example, the teachings of the Catholic Church ● Have a passion and commitment for a faith-filled education ● Communicates effectively in both oral and written format and can work collaboratively as a school team member ● Commitment to the highest standards of customer service ● A commitment to Lourdes Academy’s mission, L.A.W., and its Catholic values are a must.
