The School District of Waukesha is searching for a talented High School Spanish Teacher with expertise in Spanish Language Acquisition, Heritage Language Instruction and best practices in language learning. The ideal candidate will also be able to teach for Biliteracy! This is a collaborative teaching position where there are high expectations for all learners. Our ideal candidate must have: *Experience in Spanish Language instruction, and teaching both heritage and world language learners *Confidence and skill to teach Advanced Placement Language and Literature *Familiarity with assets based bilingual education models *Advanced Mastery of the Spanish Language in all domains *Significant multicultural and bicultural experiences Additionally: *Understanding of how to integrate World language and Literacy standards *Ability and experience developing learning paths for students based on need and readiness *Ability and experience with competency/proficiency based learning *Ability to provide and help teams build inquiry based, real-world activities for students *Progress-monitoring, as well as other adaptive, online programs and tools *Ability to collaborate with interdisciplinary teams *Knowledge and practice in teaching Dual Language Learners already proficient in Spanish Language and Literacy *Ability to differentiate for varied readiness-levels within a class Each candidate will be invited to particapate in a Language Screening online interview. The position requires the skill to teach AP Language, AP Literature and Spanish Seminar to Dual Language Program Students.
