CESAs were started over 50 years ago to partner with local school districts to provide high-quality educational and therapy services for students. Wisconsin is divided into 12 CESAs, with CESA #1 comprising six counties in southeastern Wisconsin. We are a critical partner to schools, providing reliable, just-in-time support. RESPONSIBILITIES The School Social Worker provides a wide range of services and supports to students in grades K4-8 at Tamarack Waldorf School. This position serves as a liaison between the student, home, school, and community resources such as family service agencies, child guidance clinics, courts, protective services, and physicians. The School Social Worker consults with parents, teachers, and other school personnel to determine effective solutions. The position facilitates small group and one-on-one sessions as well as classroom lessons in social emotional learning, anger management, corrective thinking, and character education. The Social Worker may also make home visits and will support families in need.
