SUMMARY: The Student Information and Educational Systems Specialist is a part of the OASD Technology team and will focus on supporting the day to day maintenance and end-user experience of our student information system (Skyward), as well as some of the basic tasks related to our digital educational systems. As the intersection between district digital educational systems and Skyward has become more complex, it has necessitated a tight alignment and direction between the two. This position will be supporting the district Education and Information Systems Integrator as they audit and align these systems to ensure that we are using them efficiently, accurately, and to their full potential. As importantly, this position will be working very closely with our site administrative assistants and district departments to support the professional development and learning needs related to Skyward. Due to the nature of this position, there will be some work days required in the summer as part of the 210 day assignment. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Includes the following (other duties may be assigned): Administrative Assistant Support Assist administrative assistants in running and scheduling reports, including data mining as requested. Assist administrative assistants in creating processing lists as requested. Assist administrative assistants in creating filters in Student Browse, and/or shares his/her custom filters with administrative assistants as requested. Assist administrative assistants in sending email notifications via Message Center as requested. Supports administrative assistants with scheduling parent/teacher conferences and running report cards as requested. Supports administrative assistants with student enrollment counts in September and January as requested. Provide summer school support. (which includes Family Access requests, set-up in SKYWARD and working with Communications on Skylert notifications and Family Access support). Ed Systems Assist in the set up, management, rostering, and troubleshooting on: Canvas Google Environment Seesaw Classlink All other digital learning management systems and subscription Student Information Systems Username and password support – staff, student and families Monitor the Skyward email inbox and answer Skyward phone extension. Add and remove new staff information and security. Assist with the import of student pictures in Skyward. Provide on-line registration support (which includes Family Access requests, set-up in SKYWARD and working with Communications on Skylert notifications and Family Access support). Monitor and process new student summer registrations. Assist with schedules Professional Development Train new staff at start-of-year and train staff throughout the year on professional development days. Create training documentation. Attend fall and spring Skyward User Group Conferences, seek systems improvement learning, and disseminate information to key parties. Manage Professional Development Center (PDC) which includes managing users and assigning courses to those interested. Help identify learning needs of end users and design, provide and evaluate professional development of student information and integrated educational systems
