The School District of Wabeno Area has an opening for the fall of 2022 for a full-time 5th grade teacher. The teacher will be in a self-contained classroom working within a Professional Learning Community of educators. There are many and varied co-curricular coaching/advising positions available as well. We are looking for a positive, hard working, team player to join our staff. The elementary school is 4K-grade 5 with two sections of each grade. We also house Little Logrollers Daycare in the elementary school building. Wabeno is an outdoor enthusiast's dream with biking, hiking, swimming, skiing, 4-wheeling, snowmobiling, hunting and fishing to name some opportunities available. We are a small district made up of four different communities and several other townships as well. Our total enrollment for the 4K-12 grades is around 385. We offer a wide variety of educational activities and offer dual credit courses in our high school and AP courses as well. We have a terrific Fab Lab available for all students to use throughout the school year. We co-op with Laona in all co-curricular activities and offer very competitive athletic programs. We are a low income district where the voters approve free lunches and breakfasts for all of our children throughout the school year and summer months.
