Position Summary: The teacher delivers quality instruction to Wauwatosa summer school students, equipping and inspiring them to conquer their challenges now and in the future. POSITION: ELA (6-12) Teachers Wauwatosa Summer School - East & West Sites Anticipated start date: June 20, 2022 Rate: $30/hour Summer School Information: Session 1 June 20th - July 7th (No school July 4th) Session 2 July 11th - July 28th Both Sessions June 20th - July 28th (No school July 4th) Secondary Classes (9-12th grade, 7:30 am-12:35 pm, Monday-Thursday, no classes on Fridays) Period 1 - 7:30 AM to 10:00 AM Period 2 - 10:05 AM to 12:35 PM Location: Wauwatosa School District Summer School (various locations) Time: 7:30 am-12:35 pm Session: 1 & 2 REQUIRED: * Wisconsin DPI License in Elementary/Regular Education PREFERRED: * Possess good organizational and collaborative skills Qualifications: Relevant certification through the Wisconsin Department of Public Instruction Knowledge of effective teaching practices Ability to design lessons that meet the educational needs of all students Ability to work in a collaborative manner with other staff members Knowledge of the key components of professional learning communities (preferred) Knowledge of PBIS and MLSS (preferred) Understanding of relevant common core standards (preferred) Essential Job Functions: Professional Knowledge: Demonstrates an understanding of the curriculum, subject content, and diverse needs of students by providing meaningful learning experiences.
