Qualifications: Preferred candidates will have experience and training working with K-3 students with a variety of special education needs, including academics, behavioral, and social/emotional skills. License requirements include one or more of the following: Special education Cross-Categorical #801 and/or Emotional Behavioral Disability #830 and/or Specific Learning Disability #811, and/or Intellectual/Cognitive Disabilities #810 *Emergency Licensure may be considered depending on the applicant pool. Job Title: Cross Categorical Special Education Teacher - EBD Focus Building: Prescott Elementary Start Date: August 2022 License Requirement: 801, 830, 811 and/or 810 Years of Experience: 0 POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES: Training and experience working with students grades K-5 with learning disabilities, emotional/behavioral disabilities, other health impairments and/or other disabilities. A strong knowledge of best practices, strategies, and interventions in the areas of reading, math, and written expression. Be able to create and implement social emotional and behavioral programming, strategies, and interventions. The ability to communicate and collaborate effectively with school staff, parents, and administration. Ability to use evidence based data, instructional best practices, and frequent monitoring for program adjustments Ability to complete due process requirements (IEPs etc) according to state and federal guidelines.
