Qualifications: Preferred candidates will have experience and training working with students with a variety of special education needs, including academics, behavioral, and social/emotional skills. License requirements include one or more of the following:
Special education Cross-Categorical #801 and/or
Emotional Behavioral Disability #830 and/or
Specific Learning Disability #811, and/or
Intellectual/Cognitive Disabilities #810
*Emergency Licensure may be considered depending on the applicant pool.

POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES:
Training and experience working with students grades 9-12 with Learning Disabilities, Other Health Impairments, Emotional/Behavioral Disabilities, and/or other disabilities.
A strong knowledge of best practices, strategies, and interventions in the areas of Reading, Math, and Written Expression.
Be able to create and implement programming, strategies, and interventions to assist students with social-emotional, behavioral, and executive functioning needs.
Work with students on the transition from High School to post high school education or employment opportunities.
The ability to communicate and collaborate effectively with the special education team, regular education staff, parents, and administration.
Ability to use evidence-based data, instructional best practices, and frequent monitoring for program adjustments
Ability to complete due process requirements (IEPs etc) according to state and federal guidelines.
