We are taking applications for Substitute Teachers for the 2021-2022 school year. Substitute Teachers must hold a valid WI DPI Teacher license or Substitute Teacher license. Please complete the WECAN application and attach your resume and a copy of your license.
If you are not currently a licensed Substitute Teacher or Teacher, you need to have a minimum of an Associate's Degree and have completed Substitute Teacher Training. WI DPI has three different approved options for completing the Substitute Teacher Training requirement to become licensed as a Substitute Teacher. You can complete the training through a CESA, WEAC, or STEDI.org. Once you have completed the training, you will then need to apply for a license with WI DPI. You must be licensed before you will be able to substitute teach.
Here are a couple of options for Substitute Teacher Training:
CESA 2:
$150 Online
https://www.cesa2.org/programs/subtraining/
CESA 6 (Oshkosh):
$100 One-Day In-Person Training

CESA 9 (Tomahawk):
$175 Two-Day In-Person Training
https://www.cesa9.org/programs/additional/subteachtrng.cfm
WEAC:
