Central Sands Community High School is a new, Waldorf-Inspired charter school opening to grades 9-11 in the fall of 2022 and expanding through 12th grade in 2023/24 school year. Our collaborative, sustainable, and tuition free public high school will work out of the core principles of Public Waldorf Education, utilizing integrated curriculum to cultivate mindful leaders in an ever-changing world.
We seek Office Staff candidates with experience in administrative work to provide a high level of administrative support for the Central Sands Community High School.
Essential Functions:
1. Create/develop reports, forms, and correspondence using various software & perform clerical functions of the school attendance office, including but not limited to: answering phones, checking students in/out, responding to email, etc.
2. Maintain and submit accurate data, files, reports according to WSD, State, and Federal guidelines
3. Research, retrieve, and provide information in response to various staff and community inquiries
4. Handle non-routine information (in-person, electronically) and maintain confidentiality
5. Assist with project completion (purchasing, budget, bookkeeping, enrollment) as requested
6. Notify appropriate staff of discrepancies, schedule meetings, and perform general office duties
7. Work in cooperation with other staff to cover for absences and complete tasks
8. Other duties as assigned
Knowledge & Abilities:
Ability to work well with constant interruptions and maintain a positive & professional demeanor
Ability to assist and monitor students in the office
Ability to make quick and responsible decisions following Central Sands policies and procedures
Good clerical skills including, but not limited to, proficiency in typing, ability to operate and troubleshoot various office equipment, knowledgeable and up to date on latest software applications
Ability to prioritize and work independently while being efficient and organized with minimal supervision
Ability to produce accurate and detailed reports
Must have good written and verbal communication skills and interpersonal relationship skills
Must be willing and able to learn current communication systems including, but not limited to, GSuite, JMC Student Information System, SPED Forms, distribution lists, directory, attachments, and calendar functions
Must maintain a high level of confidentiality
Compensation: Competitive salary commensurate with experience.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree (Education or related field preferred)
Office/administrative work experience (Five years experience preferred)
Waldorf teacher training and/or Waldorf teaching experience preferred
