Duties of the Position: The ideal candidate will have a strong knowledge of early childhood development and will be energetic, creative and enthusiastic; should be familiar with Wisconsin Model Early Learning Standards and should have a strong working knowledge of current instructional and assessment techniques for young children; will participate in assessment, program planning, IEP meetings and service delivery for students aged three to five; be an active member of District Child Find and screening activities, and work collaboratively with community partners; be a strong and positive communicator with students, fellow staff members and parents; familiarity with or willingness to learn various technology to integrate into instructional practice. Out of the box thinking to ensure the best outcome for students. Can make and carry out behavior plans with data tracking. Will be co-teaching with regular education teachers. Must be certified or be eligible to be Wisconsin DPI certified to teach Early Childhood/Primary Special Education (#1809) Knowledge of appropriate individualized evaluation techniques and IEP development is an expectation. Position is to start September 2022. Inservice will take place in August.
