The school psychologist collaborates with parents, school staff, and students to promote a healthy learning environment that focuses on the cognitive, social, emotional, and personal development of all students. School psychologists support students by promoting college, career, and community readiness through a variety of interventions, assessments, evaluations, and school programming opportunities. The District serves 1,682 students from the City of Lake Mills and the surrounding area in three schools: Lake Mills Elementary School, Middle School, and High School. LMASD is the highest achieving school district in Jefferson County Wisconsin, has strong academic curricular programs at all levels, as well as excellent music, athletic, drama, and extracurricular programs. The Lake Mills community is supportive and involved with the schools. Lake Mills has a history of successful referendums, award-winning school facilities, and stable, long-serving school boards and District Administrators. Lake Mills is ideally located in south-central Wisconsin near Interstate Hwy 94, fifty miles west of Milwaukee and twenty-five miles east of Madison, Wisconsin. The City has a beautiful central square and park and is built on the shores of “legendary” Rock Lake. Lake Mills retains the sense of a small town, closely-knit community, with access to both rural and urban recreational opportunities.
