The Mineral Point Unified School District is seeking an instructional assistant to join the special education team. This is a full-time position with benefits.
Based upon the candidates background and experience the position may vary from direct 1:1 support for a specific student to supporting small groups of students while they succeed in the regular education classroom. Candidates will support both the academic and social/emotional learning needs of the students. Candidates applying for this position should be caring, responsive, and flexible. The willingness to learn from and collaborate with other professionals as well as communicate in a professional and transparent manner is of utmost importance to support students and staff.
In order to be qualified, a instructional assistant must hold a high school diploma and have completed two years of post-secondary education (48 credits) or an associate's degree or have met a rigorous standard of quality and be able to demonstrate knowledge of and the ability to assist in instructing reading, writing, and mathematics.
