Cooperative Educational Service Agency (CESA) #12 is seeking an energetic individual for the position of Literacy Consultant/Reading Specialist. The agency is seeking an educational leader who is ready to serve a diverse, rural northern Wisconsin learning community. The candidate of choice will have demonstrated a desire to support continuous improvement processes through the lens of equity, experience implementing high quality English language arts instruction within a multi-level system of support, and experience with data driven collaborative practice. CESA #12 provides cooperative services to 17 school districts across the northwestern corner of Wisconsin, impacting approximately 14,000 students in pre-kindergarten through twelfth grade. The CESA #12 office is located in Ashland, WI, on the shores of the Chequamegon Bay of Lake Superior. The area provides a wealth of opportunities for outdoor recreational activities in a beautiful setting. A successful candidate should have strong expertise in literacy instructional practice within an equitable multi-level system of support; implementing English Language Arts curriculum grounded in the Wisconsin State Standards, including high quality instructional materials and inclusive practice; as well as strong facilitation and presentation skills that foster high levels of engagement through effective professional learning for adult learners. Applicants must hold or be eligible for a valid Wisconsin Department of Public Instruction Teaching License and a Reading Specialist License (5017). A minimum of 5 years of teaching experience is preferred.
