Cooperative Educational Service Agency (CESA) #12 is seeking an energetic individual for the position of Special Education Program Support Teacher. The agency is seeking an educational leader who is ready to serve a diverse, rural northern Wisconsin learning community. The candidate of choice will serve as a liaison and support for special education and general education teachers and principals, provide clear guidance and support to districts regarding the role of special education in an equitable multi-level system of support, and demonstrate strong communication skills with students, staff, parents, and community. CESA #12 provides cooperative services to 17 school districts across the northwestern corner of Wisconsin, impacting approximately 14,000 students in pre-kindergarten through twelfth grade. The CESA #12 office is located in Ashland, WI, on the shores of the Chequamegon Bay of Lake Superior. The area provides a wealth of opportunities for outdoor recreational activities in a beautiful setting. A successful candidate should demonstrate competency in classroom behavior management, individual/large group/small group instruction to match IEP goals, educational/behavior assessment and evaluation, parent training, curriculum development, instructional materials development, program evaluation and interpersonal relationships related to teaching teams and building/center teams. Applicants must hold or be eligible for Wisconsin Department of Public Instruction certification in one of the following licenses: Cross-Categorical Special Education (1801), Intellectual Disabilities (1811), or Emotional Behavioral Disabilities (1830) licensure or be near the completion of the certification program. A minimum of 5 years of special education teaching experience is required.
