Position: Athletic Director Building: Senior High School Posting Date: February 3, 2022 D.C. Everest Area School District is looking for our next Athletic Director, a passionate and dedicated leader, to build and champion our athletics programs. The start date of this position is July 1, 2022. KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES The Athletic Director will… • Build all varsity athletic programs to a state level of excellence by instilling alignment on vision, philosophy, and performance enhancement structures across all district and community programs and down through the youngest levels of participants. • Mentor coaches while instilling the mission and values of D.C. Everest to all coaches and volunteers involved in any and all of our 6-12 athletic programs. • Create a culture of excellence for all student-athletes that maximizes their unique abilities by holding all stakeholders accountable for adopted systems and structures related to the student-athlete experience. • Understand, adjust, and lead changes in relevant systems and structures as a member of a high performing district leadership team. • Effectively secure and allocate resources by championing D.C. Everest when working with community, business, and alumni. WHAT IT TAKES • Bachelor’s degree required. • Master’s degree with coursework in school administration or leadership preferred. • Three years of successful teaching experience preferred. • Three years of successful head coaching experience at the varsity or post secondary level. • Prior experience as an athletic director or coordinator in a public school district preferred. • Certification by the Wisconsin Department of Public Instruction as a Principal desired. WHAT YOU’LL RECEIVE • 52 Week Administrator Contract (July 1 – June 30). • Competitive salary, to be determined based on qualifications and experience. • Paid time off including 2 personal days, 13 sick leave days, 20 vacation days, and 9 holidays each year. • Comprehensive benefits package, including health, dental, vision, life insurance, disability insurance, retirement (Wisconsin Retirement System), and eligible for a district contribution into a tax-sheltered annuity.
